Yep. A bunch of feckless cowards too cowardly to acknowledge that the times have changed get treated like victims while the people they want to treat terribly get treated as criminal invaders or footnotes.

‘Cowardice’ implies that they’re doing it out of fear. This is pure malice and complicity. They want this for spite and power. They want this because they can. And so far, they have, with almost zero blowback.
