The most likely reason for Rahm’s criticism of Beto is that he favors another candidate — such as Tammy Duckworth — and he is trying to clear the path to help his preferred candidate. He may already be working behind the scenes for that person.

Just spitballing here, but a Duckworth/O’Rourke ticket would be killer bee.
