My own guess* is that, since Miss Lindsay is, after all, a Senator, that his main job now is trying desperately to come up with some sort of compromise solution that will let the government reopen more-or-less in good time, and not have it look (reality notwithstanding) as if it is anything but a major defeat for President Asshole and/or a public embarrassment for the GOP. I’m thinking* that when Congress reconvenes next Thursday, Job #1 is going to be passing a budget CR that everyone can at least get passed with as little trouble as possible: The House won’t be a problem, the Senate will be: but if Lindsay and Mitch can cobble up some - ANY sort of agreement that placates the Toddler-in-Chief enough so as not to veto it, it can hailed as a victory all around (again, reality notwithstanding) - and we can all move on to the next round of dysfunction.

*Mere rank speculation, of course, but hey! It’s the Internet!

I got to say, I’ve never been comfortable with the “Miz Lindsey” quips to skewer Graham’s alleged closeting; frankly, I don’t give a shit if he is indeed gay/bi, but I do care that he’s a craven hypocrite that values his own power more than any vestige of integrity or proper governance.
