No it won’t. McChrystal will be forced to resign in disgrace, the media taking turns lashing him for speaking out against his civilian master. Obama will call up somebody more to his liking and send him to “clean up the mess.” And that will be the end of it. He’ll be the Right’s Shinseki, held up as proof that Obama’s not serious about protecting America when he punishes generals rather than listens to them.
