From where I sit, pathologists have been using tissue specimens obtained through biopsy to identify those and various other cancers for years. Have the pathologist ceded all diagnostic work to the radiologists?
Radiology is “sexy” and non invasive procedures are wonderful at reducing nosocomial mortality and morbidity, but let us not marginalize the work pathologists do every day.
