I know you guys like to keep track of this creationist stuff here, and I haven’t seen this story mentioned yet. Apparently Iowa (“First in the Nation in Education!”) has its own stealth creationist bill going in the legislature.

“The bill asserts that teaching religious theories of evolution falls under academic freedom.

“It would let teachers at all education levels teach religious theories as science and forbid them from discounting non-science based answers from students.”

Non-science based answers? “I worship the cadre of Greek Gods and they state that the universe is only made up of 4 elements” would be an acceptable answer, apparently. On the plus side, I doubt the democrat-controlled legislature would let it pass.
