This is what GM signed up for. You take the government’s gold, you take the government’s orders. There is a perfectly legal, reasonably common course of action they could have taken instead of allowing the government to dictate their business: bankruptcy and reorganization. They chose not to, and this is the outcome. I have 0, that is, zero, zilch, nada, kein, nichevo sympathy for GM and Chrysler.

I have no sympathy for GM or Chrysler either. When you take the Devil’s coin, you dance to the Devil’s tune.

The problem is that it won’t be just GM and Chrysler that will suffer for this.

It will be all of us.
