That’s why it takes someone who has a real sense of the sports business and the required talent to succeed in managing a professional sports franchise. Screw up bad enough and the owners wind up selling. The NFL and MLB are the best at this game, followed by the NBA, and lastly the NHL (whose on the hook for at least one or more failing franchises.)
