Our smarmy new Colorado Sen. Gardner is one of the 47. We did our damnedest on Udall’s campaign, but too many voters didn’t bother to turn in their handy mail-in ballots. Some of the voters our volunteers called told us that Udall was too grim and serious, he kept harping on women’s issues where Gardner was nice and friendly and cheerful…

Probably not worth asking what they think of him now.
