To address a concern that was raised a couple of threads back, I believe he can take his Secret Service agents with him when he absconds. Unless a warrant has somehow already been issued at that point, they cannot keep him by force. When they get to Moscow, the USSS detail simply reports to the US embassy and takes the next plane home.
