It would be instructive (and fun!) to administer truth serum to these guys to find out what they REALLY think, as opposed to what they know they have to say to have a shot at being the 2012 nominee. Not that it matters: if they’ll say it now, they will act on it later, if they get the chance. Whether they really believe any of it or not.

Even if he’s just being a weathervane, then that still means that a sizeable chunk of the electorate there supports what he’s saying.
