Just the kind of thing I was wondering about this morning! I know you’ve talked a little bit about it before but what went wrong? Was is an organic problem of certain personalities or cliques took over. Did the financial backers push for a partisan agenda?

I had already resigned before the hard right turn, but the direction was pretty clear even then. One by one, all the people who came in at the start were eliminated, and replaced with ideologues and toadies.
