This is a completely unproved assertion. There’s lots about religion that’s irrational; so is the majority of fashion. Men don’t wear dresses, not because it makes any sense for men not to, but just because that’s our societal tradition. Especially on stuff like fashion, saying that it’s religion making people batty on the subject is really special pleading for your own pet peeve.

It’s really, really weird to me that you appear to feel no empathy for the person who was attacked, instead just going “Haha, look at these weirdos”.
