I'm Dreaming of a War on Christmas

It’s funny how the goyim don’t really get the issue. I remember getting very angry when I was in line at the Supermarket. The woman in front of me was buying stamps, and the cashier had some U.S. “Holiday” Stamps, I think it was this series:

The clerk said “I don’t have Christmas stamps, I have ‘holiday’ stamps. I guess we can’t say Christmas anymore!” And the customer agreed, saying how horrible it was.

I had to say _something_ to them, but the only thing I could think of was “You really don’t understand the whole issue, and you sound very stupid.”

As a Jew, I am vehemently opposed to the “Christmasification” of Hanukkah! I would MUCH RATHER people called Christmas “Christmas” instead of “The Holidays” when they mean Christmas. It bothers me greatly that my (minor) festival is lumped together with Christmas.

Of course, Christians shouldn’t presume that everyone celebrates it. But call a Christmas party a Christmas party if that’s what it’s celebrating, etc. Call a “Christmas Sale” a Christmas sale if that’s what it is. To me that’s much better than trying, badly, to dilute my holiday and merge it into yours.

(I see stores with signs that say “Get it Delivered by The Holidays” and they mean 12/25, not when Hanukkah starts this year on 12/8 evening)
