That’s a wild misreading of the mindset of the average gun owner. Do you realize what you’re saying? There are something like 300 million firearms in this country. At least 50 million owners. The gun murder rate is roughly 11000 a year, and many of those are murders that stem from a gang war or a domestic dispute, and so are very unlikely to be white-on-black. Looking at the actions of these scores of millions of gun owners, there is no sign of any designs for genocide.

For crying out loud. I didn’t say this was happening as we speak, nor did I generalize to all the gun owners in the country. Very few of those to whom I did refer, the radical survivalists and paranoids, ever use their guns at all. Their demands, and their insistence on this kind of preparation, are what drive the wide-spread availability of the types of guns the mass shooters seem to prefer. I talk to a lot of these people about how they perceive their needs. All but the terminally stupid and illiterate will admit that the UN occupation/anti-tyranny case is a smokescreen. What they really fear, or perhaps hope for, is the LA riots or their imaginary version of Hurricane Katrina on a gigantic scale. What IS the AR or the Bushmaster for as a survival tool if not this?
