Texas Republicans are working on a way to make the HB-2 anti-abortion bill acceptable to the Supreme Court by writing a provision to a similar law that would allow “non-compliant” abortion clinics to seek a waver from the state Department of Health.

They intend to bring the bill forward in the January 2017 session.
