If Trump’s campaign ends up failing because of sex scandals, that effectively lets the GOP and Trump supporters off the hook for the innumerable other abominations of the party and campaign. The first and foremost of these is the despicable reliance on scapegoating others.

Acceptance of scapegoating is how mass murders end up taking place to the cheers of the rest of the population.
