How will the GOP respond? They’ll dig deeper into denial, because that’s all they’ve got. They’ve been caught with their pants down, their own staff having been co-opted by the White House to write and pass EOs that are being treated by the administration as having the force of law. The administration has further declared that the courts do not have the power to stop the enforcement of those EOs. The time to act was Friday, when the EO was first announced and the implications of it made clear. Now? Now it’s become the end of The Shawshank Redemption for them, only with more tunneling through shit and no redemption.
