If the ACM has that role, that’s fine, but that seemed to be more prudent to academia and less so to practical engineering. It just felt like there was a void once I launched into the professional world.

Here’s some of the benefits I get:
1. Access to all of their articles.
2. Access to training from various industry people.
3. I can get to any O’Reilly book online.
4. I get a 3 times a week letter of research and applications in computing. Some of the articles I’ve posted, such as the one yesterday about how fake news spreads faster than real news because of humans, was from this letter. A number of these referenced articles also talk about ethics in computing.
5. Skillsoft training. I haven’t used it yet, but they offer courses in a number of computing topics.

Overall, you might poke around and see what they offer.
