One could argue that the difference between St. Ron and Hair Furor is the difference between a professional actor and a conman. It’s the difference between the nation seeing the president as a kindly grandpa who believes in “tough love” and seeing the other as a two-bit crook who has risen way above his competency.

There are alot of good arguments to be made for that. Gotta say, the country’s a better place if the Fordites win out in the GOP. The funny thing though is Ford actually was from a pretty modest background. Granted Reagan was too but Reagan’s political rise was through him chumming up to corporations. Ford was a young WWII vet who felt that the old way (the isolationist wing of the GOP) was wrong and rose through the post war GOP ranks that way.
