I don’t have a problem with any private citizen flying someone (Wife, girlfriend, etc.) to NYC on a date, as long as they are paying for it on their own account. But when any elected official, including the President of the United States, does it with the taxpayer’s money, then I would have to object.

Why? Travel expenses are part and parcel of the President’s compensation. Same for all Congressmen. And if you’re trying to claim this was somehow not covered, around-the-clock security is specifically mandated for the President and his family, no matter what they are doing or where they are.

Again: this is a bullshit argument that makes Conservatives look like petty idiots. It reinforces the whole “Party of ‘No’” meme that the Democrats are pushing.

I suppose next we’ll be hearing about how Obama wipes his ass with his left hand, and this “proves” he’s a Muslim sympathizer. Or, that he wipes his ass with his right hand, making him a hypocrite because we knew he was a Muslim sympathizer and this proves that he isn’t. All offered without so much as a single shred of evidence, just the sound and spittle of pure hatred being vomited forth for the sheer sake of puking it up.

God forbid that anyone actually address issues. Although given this sort of childish criticism, I suspect that actual political discourse is completely beyond the abilities of many wallowing in the fringe cesspools these days.
