re: #778 MandyManners

I asked what it meant. Now, that I’ve been told that it will remove my AOL, I’m at a loss. I don’t want to remove it.

I just did a quick google for waol.exe. Most of tre: #792 MandyManners

Note that Coolwebsearch spyware has tried to imitate this name, so make sure its in the correct location and always monitor your system startup to be safe. Waol.exe is considered safe and is not spyware or adware related (check location to make sure as specified). (See the details below for the actual location of this file.)

Could I have the Coolwebsearch spyware on my computer?

Go to that location under Program Files in Windows Explorer. Right-click waol.exe and select Properties. Then look for a tab that says “Digital Signatures”. If the tab is there, and if it’s signed by America Online, Inc (or whatever), it’s the right version and not the spyware.
