My brush with the Secret Service happened in 1992. I was a volunteer for the Clinton campaign and Bill had come to Houston to speak at a rally. I had my volunteer badge on and went for a rope fence to avoid the long line at the metal detector I’d already gone through. SS guy got right in my face until I showed the badge and was able to walk by.
