The closest thing we have here in the Czech Republic to a bodega is a potraviný. It’s pretty much the same thing - a potraviný that’s open late is called a večerká (from “večer”, evening).

There used to be a večerká in the apartment building I live in on the ground floor - sadly, they closed up last year; it used to be amazingly convenient to hop downstairs if I needed some little thing.

Yeah I imagine most urban centers have places like them. We don’t really have too many of them in D.C. unfortunately.
