I have mixed feelings about this. The chairlift accesses an area called the Beavers and Steep Gullies. It was choice out-of-bounds terrain that required a hike back to Highway 6 and a hitchhike back to the base of the ski area, in other words, you had to be prepared and that weeded out the tourist element. The Steep Gullies, in particular, are not to be trifled with, high angle high consequence skiing, people have died in those lines. Now there’s a chairlift, and any yahoo with rental skis from Breeze can go over there now.

That area is all above the tree line, isn’t it? As I recall, it’s powder heaven, but there’s a lot of places where you can get into a world of shit.
