I don’t know if y’all saw this, but I am completely gobsmacked that the Trump Admin actually got something right for once.
The Aussie Prime Minister, Scott Morrison, is visiting the US and of course he’s Trump’s guest. Well, Morrison wanted to bring along his mentor, Brian Houston, the lead pastor of the Hillsong megachurch (with several outlets here in the Phoenix area). *However*, someone in the White House either let their fingers do the walking or knew that Houston was unacceptable in one particular way.
WH officials were worried Australian PM Scott Morrison would bring his controversial pastor and “mentor,” Brian Houston, with him on his US visit, @vmsalama reports. Morrison eventually agreed not to. https://t.co/eZcBv1jAq7 pic.twitter.com/9sxGopXaYP

Even though Brian Houston would have fit in very well with Trump’s court evangelicals, the dude is highly radioactive because he covered up his preacher father’s sexual abuse of children. The WSJ article quoted doesn’t even tell the half of it. So someone over at State was doing their job for once.
