Once again, here’s the truth about Republicans that people like David Brooks will never admit — every pathology in Trump is also dominant in the GOP.

Brooks is, ultimately, a nihilist. His positions are based on protecting his comfort at the cost of all else by taking whatever he wants and presenting it as a universal; his “analysis” amounts to gamesmanship, the meta in which there’s no moral action just tactical action.
