I have a friend who for about a year worked for a senator on Capitol Hill. She told me that when the new interns would arrive most of them had never seen a typewriter before. I wonder how they would react to a rotary dial phone.

They wouldn’t know how to “dial” a call on a rotary dial.
My daughter was completely perplexed when I showed her a rotary dial telephone.
