The point was to imply that Obama would somehow like to see blacks massacreeing whites in America, remember Rush and his “open season on whites” routine a few years back? They are preying on these dark, xenophobic fears, and it is truly ugly.

I agree on the purpose of the exercise, and on its essential ugliness. However, few in the US will make the connection between Kenya and the mau mau uprising without being explicitly told about it, making it a bit lower quality as a dog whistle than old favorites such as ‘urban crime’ etc.
