Le prsident amricain vient d’adresser une lettre trs sympathique Jacques Chirac, selon l’expression de ce dernier. Je suis certain que nous pourrons au cours des quatre annes venir collaborer ensemble dans un esprit de paix et d’amiti afin de construire un monde plus sr , crit le successeur de George W. Bush au prdcesseur de Nicolas Sarkozy. En voquant le mot de paix, Obama rend un hommage implicite l’action de l’ancien prsident franais qui s’tait oppos la guerre en Irak. Une intervention amricaine contre laquelle le futur prsident amricain s’tait oppos comme snateur, lors du vote au Congrs.
