Who’s going to protect him in Russia? I’d say he’s pretty much on his own, although he’ll certainly be tracked by the FSB.

Good questions. I suspect he is getting some funding from Wikileaks and others. But how long until that well runs dry? As for protection, I don’t think he is really going to need any. I highly doubt the U.S. is going to try and do a snatch and grab on his sorry ass as the Political ramifications of such an act outweigh what it would be worth to bring him back to the U.S.

I suspect in the end, his application for asylum will be denied and he will be asked to leave the Country. That only leaves the question of which South American Country will take him.
