It could be to an extent; far-right politics is typically anti-globalization and it employs xenophobic rhetoric as part and parcel of their anti-globalization ideology. Fear of “foreigners taking our jobs!!” is easy to use - and exploit - and it dovetails nicely with the overall weltanschauung of extreme right-wing politics.
