It’s important to remember that the least objectionable Republican is a heartless SOB. Most of them add further issues, such as bigotry, science denial etc., etc.

But that heartless SOB Republican baseline is already a big problem. These are people whose honest book review of A Christmas Carol would run something like this:

This story is a tragedy. It opens with our hero, Ebenezer Scrooge, going about his lawful, lucrative and Godly business. Unfortunately, Scrooge is subjected to Communist indoctrination by the Ghosts of Christmas past, present and future, abetted by their useful idiot (Marley’s ghost). This psychological torture succeeds, and at the end of the story Scrooge has saddled himself with supporting several useless takers, the most obnoxious of which is Tiny Tim.

This should be a thing. Better than #explainafilmplotbadly
