My father once had a conversation with a German WW2 veteran who noted that the same thing would have been said about Hitler if it wasn’t for the whole “starting a war” thing.

I’ve said before, if the Republic survives another three decades, we’re going to have to push back against these kids re-writing history or at the very least, trying to make Trump look normal. “Oh he wasn’t so bad…”
