This idea that it is somehow irreversible and that the US has never been in such horrible divided straits before gets a little tiring sometimes.

Like yes, things suck right now. But there are a lot of us who still have plenty of life left to live who would rather not give up and roll over and die yet, so.

You’ll have to forgive me but the two SCOTUS decisions have put me in a very bad place. Our safeguards are slipping away. It has me very upset.

I think there might be a little age difference entering into these comments.

Some of us that are older are sad to see the divide and the damage it is causing. We may be at an age that we only ‘see’ things going away and might not be around to see a recovery. That is a very sad thing to face.

It’s a bit like leaving your ‘family’ in a good place for their future before your time is up. If you see that it may not happen and the people facing the future may have to go through what has already been gone through it is frustrating.
