If Trump refuses to release the memo at all, whatever the excuse he may make up is, the GOP may very well force his hand by taking a formal vote to release it that would remove him from the loop.

I’ll believe that when I see it. For now, it looks like the lizard who said the GOPers only voted to release it because they knew Cheeto Benito would block it at the end (thus allowing them to feign helplessness and ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ the whole thing off) was right.
