About that Elizabeth Warren Texas Bar registration card — this is an important note, buried at the bottom of the Washington Post article:

So she had absolutely nothing to gain by doing this. It actually backs up her claim that her family believed they had Native American ancestry, because why put that down if she didn’t believe it, when it wasn’t benefiting her in some way?

Good point. The only legitimate criticism is that she was expropriating an identity while fully living a life as a white without in any way participating in the culture of a tribe.
