Figuring, painfully slowly, how to properly search for a job in 2019. Thanks to a long freelance career with a handful of stable clients, it had been 20 years since I last looked for a salaried role. Damn. What a humbling experience the past year has been!

Tip #1: Customized resumes? Or at least multiple versions for different job categories? Ain’t nobody got time for that!

Well in reality, it looks to me like nine times out of ten one has to let go of old concepts about a CV being a comprehensive or static document. Just not how the game is played anymore. Gotta change with the times and blend in with the hep young cats.

Also there are good ways to create resumes and online profiles to fend off age discrimination. Having crossed the half century mark, it’s a thing that happens.
