After two days of declining new cases, Minnesota posted a new high of 63 new cases, and sadly, nearly doubled our death total, from 5 to 9. Understanding that new cases lag behind the protective measures being taken still doesn’t take the sting off of that.

The deaths are going to lag even more than the new cases, so there’s that.

We hit two weeks of shelter-in-place on Tuesday; there were less strict measures in place before that, which might be what’s keeping us from having broken the 100 new cases in a day mark yet (and note, this is just for my county, which is not the entire Bay Area by far) but clearly also wasn’t enough to prevent spread.
