Funny, because until 2009, players did not even come out until after the National Anthem. But then the US military started paying the NFL to promote for “patriotism” in games, probably inspired by the sight of soccer players singing their national anthems before matches.

Here’s a hell of a thought: Let’s go back to the old rules, with players not coming out until after the anthem, and people won’t have to be confronted with images of kneeling players.

Think it might fly with today’s hip, young crowd?////
