Nothing really changed under Bush either. Rudy was the only hope to change America’s relationship with the Muslim world but he didn’t even get close to getting the nomination.

Obama irks me in particular because he loves to talk about the Holocaust. In his speech at AIPAC (just before it was clear he won the primaries), he spent maybe a quarter to a third of his speech on the Holocaust. It’s disproportionate. I specifically think he does that because he can’t say very much about anything since then that will give him Jewish support.

I don’t recall other presidents spending so much time talking about the Shoah (except where contextually appropriate) while evincing so little concern for those who remain.
