One of the ways secessionists (who are usually a nice melting pot of neo-confederate babyklukker pro militia fundies) try to dodge contractual obligations like mortgages and auto loans is bringing the gold standard language into their pleadings. They don’t recognize promissory notes, they claim to be slaves, they challenge the validity of the dollar, they’ll trade liened property between themselves for “one piece of silver” and all kinds of crazy shit.

There are entire forums (usually private) dedicated to discussing how their crazyspeak pleadings delay foreclosures and repossessions, complete with faux attorneys (often disbarred real attorneys or “activists”) that offer to draw up their documents for a fee.

These people love Ron Paul. And these are the people Mr. Heat faces on a regular basis. Yes, they are scary. They’re batshit fucking nuts and they have a rage boner for anyone who injects reality into their lives.
