Great move, following a day of solidarity and support against SOPA and PIPA…by providing a grand example of why politicians think such bills are necessary.

I think that a lot of the outrage is due to the fact that Megaupload was one of the more friendly sites toward copyright holders - so much so that they had endorsements by several artists in the entertainment industry. Add the fact that the Megaupload site, and all of its owners don’t reside in the US, yet were taken down and arrested by US authorities is rubbing people the wrong way.
