I agree, that’s why I said I wouldn’t defend him because he does, but now anyone in public life has to watch because one stupid gay joke or slipping and calling something retarded forces you to appear on every medium and apologize, and go into some remedial sensitivity training. When did we as a nation become so damned thin-skinned.

You know what, I don’t care when somebody makes a joke at my expense, because I can speak up and defend myself if I want or need to.

But poking fun at a group of individuals who have a disability of this nature, who could not or would not be able to defend themselves against such nastiness, is beyond the pale.
