You are working from the assumption that all votes for the GOP are racist. This too is a fallacy. Many are, no question, and the GOP is definitely fanning those flames and going after those votes. But like saying all southerners are racist isn’t true, so it saying all GOP voters are racist isn’t true. There are other factors in play.

Not all votes for the GOP are racist.

But only one party has methodically institutionalized racist dogwhistle positions. Only one party has made that a foundation of their approach.
