Yes, the number of /’s often (but not always) indicates the level of sarcasm intended. Also, being familiar with Kragar’s way of expressing himself helps.

As for the secession stuff, try not to let it get to you. FWIW, I was born & raised in Texas, so I feel entitled to knock it from time to time, just so you know. ;-)
