It’s hard to expose his true motive when the anti-establishment mantle pretty much covers it.

Rural ares vs urban explains that precisely. The gun rules for one are often all wrong for the other. But that divide put that way bears no electoral/poll/ fundraising goals. So that rather obvious fact is largely ignored in favor of more divisive (i.e. useful) arguments.
