Which makes me wonder if they are a microcosm of the entire country in 4 years.

We have work to do reaching these people and step one is stop laughing at them and Donald Trump.

We’re not laughing at them. We’re truly tired of having to defend them from themselves, tired of their racism overriding their self-preservation. The only reason we’re still thinking about helping them is we either help everyone or no one gets helped.

As for Donald, laughing at him is not only fair game, but it’s one of the things we can do to push him over the edge and make him do something that will get him in trouble.
