The family business is construction, specifically: door subcontractors for commercial tenant improvement work. That number is for three new pairs of doors. No amount of bullet proofing, sound proofing, or even designation of a specific log for the veneer could justify that cost. At $46k per opening, somebody bought a very nice new car, cash.

Could easily be enough for a whole blast rated panic room installation including NBC HEPA filter.
