And again I have to point out that Shakespeare’s villains weren’t cardboard cutouts and sometimes spoke the truth. Although Henry VI wasn’t one of his big hits, this was probably a huge applause/laughter line. And even a hero like Hamlet didn’t express any particular liking for lawyers, as in the graveyard scene.

Because everyone hates lawyers until they need one.
